effort to make life and business more convenient in Travis County, the
Tax Office has provided the following methods to make tax payments.
If paying by check, please make it payable to Nelda
Wells Spears.
Residents can pay taxes by:
- Credit Card- Pay Now
- Residents are able to pay by credit card online. 128-bit SSL encryption
provides complete security. A 3% convenience fee per transaction is
charged by the credit card vendor.
- Electronic Check- Pay
Now - For those who would rather pay by check, this service is also
available online via 128-bit SSL encryption. Convenience fees range
from $3
to $40.
- Escrow prepayments through bank draft – Find

- Letter of Intent for Installment Payments (Download the form in
Spanish.) - Owners with an Over 65 or Disabled Homestead Exemption
have an option to pay current taxes in four payments. You must apply
by January 31, 2010 to take advantage of this option - view

- Partial Pay Requests - If you know
that you will not be able to pay all of your property taxes, you are
advised to pay all that you can before January 31st and contact
the office as soon as you can to make payment arrangements.
- Mail Payments - You may mail payments
at any time to: P.O. Box 149328 Austin, TX 78714-9328 (NEVER MAIL CASH).
For timely payment of 2009 taxes, make sure your postmark shows 02/01/10
or earlier!
- Western Union Quick Collect - Go to any local Western
Union Agent www.westernunion.com
with cash (up to $5,000.00) and fill out the Blue Quick Collect form.
The "Pay To" section should be completed to read Travis County
Tax Office, the Code City is TCTAX , the State is TX and your account
number is either the account, billing or parcel number indicated on
your bill.
